چکیده
Abstract Radiation has been used in a variety of different fields since its discovery. It is very important medial sector for both diagnosis and also treatment. In this study, the radiation dose rate emitted to environment after radiopharmaceutical injection was determined using patients undergoing bone scintigraphy imaging. measurements were performed at distances from patient levels patient. Measurements done times determine relationship between time. The by measured an average 10.21, 42.36, 76.28 min injection. order see distance, 25, 50, 100, 200 cm distance 1 m patients’ chest level 10.21 16.27 μSv h −1 . Then, decayed down 13.65 42.36 min, while lower as 12.41 100 patient’s level.

Bone scintigraphy in clinical routine
Since 1961 bone turnover has been examined using various radio-labeled substances. In 1971 bone scintigraphy was performed the first time using modern 99mTc-labeled polyphosphonates, e.g. 99mTc-hydroxyethylenephosphonate(HDP) or 99mTc-methoxyethylenephosphonate (MDP). After intravenous injection, these radiopharmaceuticals are adsorbed at the bone surface within some hours. The amount of adsorp...
متن کاملMeasurement of the Adsorbed Radiation Dose to Eyelens During CT Scan and Radiotherapy of Nasopharynx Cancer
Introduction: The study of the cause of death during the last few decades has shown that death due to infectious diseases has been declining and has been rising due to noninvasive diseases, especially cancers and accidents. Cancer is considered as one of the fatal diseases, and every year, more than 10.9 million people worldwide are diagnosed with the disease. Mater...
متن کاملRadiation dose measurement in gastrointestinal studies.
Barium studies investigations (barium swallow, barium meal and barium enema) are the basic routine radiological examination, where barium sulphate suspension is introduced to enhance image contrast of gastrointestinal tracts. The aim of this study was to quantify the patients' radiation doses during barium studies and to estimate the organ equivalent dose and effective dose with those procedure...
متن کاملOral Administration of Vitamin C, Cimetidine and Famotidine on Micronuclei Induced by Low Dose Radiation in Mouse Bone Marrow Cells
Background: In many studies, chemicals and natural materials were tested to reduce the harmful effects of radiation. It is known that Famotidine and vitamin C reduce DNA damage. Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the radioprotective effect of vitamin C, Cimetidine and Famotidine on gamma-radiation-induced damage on mouse bone marrow. Methods: Six-to-seven week male NMRI mice (28...
متن کاملEffects of Arbutin on Radiation-Induced Micronuclei in Mice Bone Marrow Cells and Its Definite Dose Reduction Factor
Introduction: Interactions of free radicals from ionizing radiation with DNA can induce DNA damage and lead to mutagenesis and carsinogenesis. With respect to radiation damage to human, it is important to protect humans from side effects induced by ionizing radiation. In the present study, the effects of arbutin were investigated by using the micronucleus test for anti- clastog...
